Date Of Birth: November 13, 1947
Date Of Death: January 31, 2010

Mrs. Billie R. Bush was born on November 13, 1946, in Coolidge, Texas. She was the daughter of Nora Morgan and Aaron D. Hobbs. She was 1 of 9 children. Billie accepted Christ into her life at an early age.Billie graduated from Coolidge Community High School in the month of May, 1967. A short time after graduating high school, Billie decided to serve her country by enlisting in the United States Army on June 30th, 1967. She received a National Defense Service Medal before being honorably discharged from the Army. After the Army Billie went on to serve and be a soldier of life. She was united in Holy matrimony to James Bush Jr. on July 25th, 1969, in Dallas Texas.Billie relocated to Hammond, Indiana, in 1975, with three little children and later had her 4th child in 1977. Billie was a Christian, servant, homemaker, and soldier for her children. She had and lived a simple but challenging life. She was a living miracle, succeeding against the odds of trials and tribulations that she and her children would face and conquer together in her lifetime.Billie joined Macedonia church in 1980, and was also a longtime member of Bethel C.O.G.I.C. She served on the usher board and was a member of the choir. God’s word and the church was the solid foundation that Billie built her family on, and this is what has stood the test of time. She taught them how to show love, pray and be thankful for everything in life.A longtime resident of Hammond, Indiana, Billie packed up and relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana, in February, 1994. She was good and retired now, and ready to live the good life in a new place. All of her children were self-sufficient. And now, it was her time. So she thought! Billie remained active in the lives of many friends and family, always doing something for someone else.Billie influenced and enriched the lives of her 7 grandchildren. She would also impact the lives of the children that she would take care of in her spare time. She did this until her last days. When she couldn’t do it anymore, it was her children, grandchildren, and friends turn to take care of her. Billie never met a stranger, that’s what made it so easy for people to fall in love with her, a true diamond in the rough of the world.Billie fought the good fight and ran the course she was given and made, just like a good faithful servant and soldier. And now, there is no more fighting, crying, suffering, or pain. She is free, free to run a different course now, one of happiness, joy, and peace. “Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”Billie was preceded in death by her parents and 4 Siblings. In mourning, she leaves her 4 children (Kenya, Kelvin, Nora, and Demetrius), 7 grandchildren (Kayla and Kirsten, Melquan, Jayla, Jazama, and Julius, and Kevonte), 3 sisters (Minnie P. Brown, Lazell Morgan, and Odessa Smith), and 1 brother (Lyndell Morgan), a host of nieces, nephews, church family members, and good faithful friends.
